Leah Ponds was born on January 7, 1980 in Youngstown, OH. In 1986, her family relocated to Charlotte, NC. After graduating from Independence High School in 1998, Leah went on to obtain her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Communication Arts from East Carolina University. Presently, Leah's professional art career is at its cusp! Post graduation, Leah has sold and displayed artwork in Charlotte's Historic Arts District, NoDa, as well as Picture Perfect gallery located 2 miles from Charlotte's booming uptown. In addition to being a fine artist, Leah loves to entertain others and make them laugh. She loves to perform, and has been cast in various stage plays including Christopher Davis' 'Papa Don't Preach' and Judy Blume's 'Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing.' Leah also loves children, and currently serves as a mentor in the Big Brother Big Sister program of Greater Charlotte, as well as an instructor at Campus Street Ministries in the Johnson C. Smith University area of Charlotte, NC.
